Asia Earthquake and Flood Appeal

Christmas was good wasn’t it? While we were partying in our collective living rooms, one of the biggest natural disasters in recorded history struck Asia. Put simply, they need aid, and fast. Andy Budd puts it a lot better than I do. But you can help:

Asia Earthquake and Floods Appeal: DONATE NOW

And just when you think it can’t get any worse, Tsunami-related spams begin to arrive. Always make sure you donate to a reputable charity.

Stif have donated to the appeal, but I will also donate some moola.

Do this: Try and think what 100,000 people looks like… it’s a lot innit.

We can;t help the dead, we can help the living…. I’m trying to comprehend the enormity of it all, but it’s impossible, it’s something like the whole of Manchester being made homeless, which is frankly madness.

I went to the old Wembley stadium several times. A capacity crowd was just huge – and the death-toll is now getting on for twice that. I just can’t get my head around it at all.

I think there were about 100,000 at Live Aid in 1986.. :o(
I reckon disease is going to kill nearly the same again, plus there are loads of people unaccounted for… absolutely catastrophic.

Rich and I were watching it on News 24 earlier….it just boggles the imagination, the sheer scale of it.

I’ve donated money, but it’s just a drop in the ocean……………..
(really no pun intended)

Every little helps though.

By the way, happy new year!
