When one lives on an island, one has to deal with ferries. Most of the time, they’re awesome. Sometimes… less so. The other night we had a long delay – but it wasn’t without its upsides. It was late, the roads were quiet and I ended up having one of those fabled late night drives, cruising up the almost deserted inland island highway, passenger asleep next to me, listening to Solarstone’s Pure Trance Radio episode 457, featuring RiRi.

It’s a great mix all around, but when Estiva and Lake Avalon’s Future Memories kicked off, I wanted to take my hands off the wheel and wave them in the air. Then a little later, Orkidea’s remix of M83’s Oblivion (I’m big fan of Susanne Sundfør on dance tracks).

I was enjoying it so much I was almost sad to arrive home. Almost, but after nearly fifteen hours on the road, it was time.
