		<description>Good article Olly. I was about to write up on the whole IE8 thing too (I might still do that actually, maybe)...but then Kate's use of Lemurs is unashamedly-excellent and would make my article a bit pointless too (those lemurs rock!)  ;)

		<description>I do *not* think you should interpret this as Microsoft pushing HTML5. As far as I know, there has not been any confirmation that IE will support HTML5 at any point in the future. And I actually think that if this triggers IE8's "super standard mode", we could have serious trouble once IE9, IE10, ... start implementing HTML5. It means the default rendering mode for all HTML5 documents will forever be "IE8".

Wilson already said if a doctype is widely deployed, they can't change their rendering (the same thing that is happening now with HTML4 docs).</description>
